“Love is….” Visibility Project on Healthy Relationships – Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Join Empower Yolo today for a special video collaboration with My Sister’s House, UC Davis Center for Advocacy, Resources and Education (CARE), and UC Davis Asian American Studies.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Hosted by: the Women’s Resources and Research Center (WRRC); UC Davis Conference Room and Porch, 113 North Hall, One Shields Ave., Davis.  Parking is available at the MU structure on Howard Way.

Special Art Project at the Pence Gallery – Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Join Empower Yolo for this special, hands on, art event at the Pence Gallery. Help us create a unique art piece for the shelter in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Empower Yolo’s 40th Anniversary.  The project will be led by local artist and teacher, Judy Catambay.

Wednesday, October 18, 2017 – 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Pence Gallery, 212 D Street, Davis        

$40 per person includes beverages and snacks. This will be a fun and unique project that will be a part of our shelter for years to come.  You must reserve your spot in advance at rsvp@empoweryolo.org. 40th Anniversary Shower for the Shelter – Saturday, October 28, 2017

The ‘Friends of Empower Yolo’ invite you to the 40th Anniversary ‘Shower for the Shelter’.  Please donate new shower gifts.

Saturday, October 28, 2017
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
D Street Resource Center, 441 D Street, Davis (Corner of 5th & D).

Gifts most needed are:  Full and twin bed sheet sets, pillows, bath towel sets, family-sized toiletry products (shampoo & conditioner, body wash, lotion), new twin mattresses (please deliver to main office, 175 Walnut Street, Woodland), and monetary donations towards a new refrigerator.  To make a monetary donation or a donation towards the refrigerator please donate here.


Diaper Drives in Yolo County all month long – October 1-31, 2017

Items most needed:  wipes, diaper sizes 4, 5 and pull ups.  See locations and times for drop off.  Partially opened packages are welcome.  Thank you for your support!
